About

The meeting is a unique opportunity for the dissemination and discussion of cutting-edge basic science and clinical ophthalmic research.

In the morning the meeting welcomes research trainee abstract presentations (oral and poster) from ophthalmologists, optometrists and visual scientists of all levels.  Clinical and basic science research presentations take place, along with the Optometry Guest Lecture.

After a hot buffet lunch the afternoon symposium starts with the 20th Norman Galloway Lecture, Glaucoma given by Professor Augusto Blanco, Queen’s University, Belfast.

This continues with presentations from other eminent ophthalmologists, optometrists and scientists and our 'In the Pipeline' session with presentations from selected sponsors.

Abstract submission is open until 14th December 2015.
Instructions for Authors:
Abstracts should follow the subheadings: Title, Authors and Affiliations, followed by Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, approximately 250 words.  
Please also include your name, position, hospital, preferred address, telephone and e-mail address.
Please indicate your preferred presentation technique: Oral and/or Poster.
Send your abstracts as an e-mail attachment (Word document) with the subject, NES ABSTRACT to:- nes@nottingham.ac.uk.
Receipt of abstracts will be promptly acknowledged.  Successful abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and NES website.
The meeting has been awarded 6 CPD points from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
